Procedural Carnage

A Student asked how hard it would be to make a carnage web type thing in Houdini, based off of something they saw. Took half a day to make the system, since there was some new ideas to me involved and a couple hours stumbling around materials in Houdini trying to make heads or tails of transmittance. Generally happy with the result. It can receive any surface geo to attach to and will follow a curve for general orientation, beginning and end points. I Utilized the Vellum wire simulation to make it a bit more natural looking. If this was going to go into a game it would likely end up being around 15k triangles and need to be baked down (obviously). Lots of curves and organic shapes unfortunately.
